Intermountain Rural Electric Association is currently seeking a dynamic individual to fill our Billing Specialist I position in our Sedalia location. With over 163,000 members, Intermountain Rural Electric Association is one of the largest member-owned electric utility cooperatives in the United States.
QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Proficiency in MS Office, basic math skills and accounting concepts is necessary. Must be detailed and deadline oriented as well as be proficient in problem solving. Experience with Cayenta Utilities or other billing or payment software is desired.
BASIC DUTIES: Responsible to the Billing Services Director for performing duties related to billing errors and billing issues for customer accounts and for processing payments for customer accounts. Investigates and mitigates assigned billing issues such as accounts without meters being in the correct cycle code. Completes service order management for meter investigations from high/low issues and verification of meter reads and correcting issues. Notifying the appropriate departments of issues. Verify that the service order was closed properly.
