Intermountain Rural Electric Association is currently seeking a team-oriented individual to fill our Desktop Administrator position in our Sedalia location. With over 151,000 members, Intermountain Rural Electric Association is one of the largest member-owned electric utility cooperatives in the United States.

This is a regular full-time position working a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday. Normal hours of business are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., working an optional 9/80 schedule.

The Desktop Administrator position is responsible to the Information Technology Manager in optimizing Windows laptops/workstations and related components to achieve high availability and performance of the various business applications supported. This includes designing, installing, configuring, administering, monitoring, patching, supporting, and fine-tuning Windows operating systems and components across the organization in a timely and efficient manner with emphasis on systems security.

Requirements include: College diploma, university degree or an Associate’s degree from an accredited two-year institution in the field of computer science or 1 year equivalent work experience, experience installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop operating systems and peripherals, experience with TCP/IP and wireless networking, strong knowledge of popular PC software programs, strong knowledge of common desktop hardware, experience in Active Directory and Windows administration, & must have and maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license.
