In accordance with the Association’s bylaws, the boundaries for IREA’s seven director districts were recently redefined.

This was done because Article V, Section 2, of the bylaws requires the Board of Directors to review the districts at least every eight years to determine whether there are substantial inequalities in the number of members in each district and, if so, to equalize membership numbers. Most members remain within the same director districts as before, but some changes were made to accommodate uneven growth within our service territory since the last redistricting eight years ago.

An interactive map of IREA’s service territory and the seven director districts is available at www.IREA.coop/board-of-directors.
