Responsible for the engineering tasks related to the design, construction, and inspection of overhead and underground electric distribution facilities for new consumer, consumer upgrades and system improvement projects.
Associate鈥檚 degree in electrical engineering or engineering technology or 5 or more years of practical equivalent experience preferred.
路 Performs engineering and inspection for new construction, conversions, and system improvement projects. Performs survey and layout work in the field.
路 Prepares engineering and staking documents which include drawings, calculations, construction costs, and outlines of required work, including a list of materials needed to complete the projects.
路 Meet with new and existing members, builders, developers, electricians, and engineering firms to determine electrical power requirements.
路 Conducts predesign meetings, preconstruction meetings and final walk throughs in a timely manner.
路 Inspect work performed by association and contract crews to ensure construction meets design requirements, association specification & standards and NESC & NEC requirements.
路 Maintains financial control on projects
路 Identify required easements and permitting, communicate requirements to the customer and report in Associations work management system.
路 Documents all inquiries and other correspondence from consumers and uploads to Associations Document management system.
路 Coordinates the installation of underground and overhead systems. Inspects work completed by contractors and checks and reviews contractor billing data for accuracy.
路 Review customer provided site development plans, electrical one-lines, and panel schedules to calculate load and transformer requirements, and design.
路 Prepares project change orders and submit to the customer in a timely manner.
路 Respond in a timely manner to inquiries by inspectors, association and contractor construction personnel.
路 Provide weekly status updates in Association work management system for projects in design, construction and as-built.
路 Completes as-builts within a timely manner meeting contract requirements.
路 Responsible for document control of assigned projects.
路 Ensure that executed easements, final plats, waivers, etc. have been received and filed in the Associations document management system at the time a project is released for construction.
