Intermountain Rural Electric Association is currently seeking a dynamic individual to fill our Engineering Aide I position in our Sedalia location. With over 163,000 members, Intermountain Rural Electric Association is one of the largest member-owned electric utility cooperatives in the United States.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Must have a good understanding of basic mathematics, algebra, trigonometry, drafting and construction practices. Electric theory, staking, surveying and construction experience is preferred. Must be knowledgeable in computers, including computer-aided drafting (CAD), spreadsheets and word processing. Responsible to the Distribution Engineering Manager for performing those duties necessary for the layout, surveying and preparing staking documents for the construction of new facilities, rebuilding of existing facilities, and retirement of existing facilities.
This position is a member of the Local Union No. 111 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, AFL-CIO. It is considered a union position and will require membership upon acceptance.
Must maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license.
