Intermountain Rural Electric Association is currently seeking a team-oriented individual to fill our Human Resources Specialist II position in our Sedalia location. With over 151,000 members, Intermountain Rural Electric Association is one of the largest member-owned electric utility cooperatives in the United States.
This is an exempt, regular full-time position working a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday. Normal hours of business are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., working an optional 9/80 schedule.
The Human Resources Specialist II is responsible to the Human Resources Director with tasks related to human resource management and benefits administration. This position is responsible for maintaining employee records and files; including personnel, medical, fringe benefits, COBRA, and I-9 files. In addition, the Human Resources Specialist II will administer the training and development programs; assist in administering and act as a liaison with the health and welfare benefits; maintain and track FMLA requests; and administer the Wellness program.
Qualified individuals must have a bachelorâ€™s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field or equivalent experience and training and 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in a Human Resources environment. Preferred qualifications: Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or (SHRM-CP) certification. You must have the ability to work independently as well as work as a team player. This position requires exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Applicants must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications; particularly MS Word and Excel.
