Intermountain Rural Electric Association is currently seeking a team-oriented individual to fill our Journeyman Meter Technician / Journeyman Meterman position in our Sedalia location. With over 154,000 members, Intermountain Rural Electric Association is one of the largest member-owned electric utility cooperatives in the United States.

Responsible to the Metering Supervisor for installing, removing, testing, calibrating and obtaining readings of electric meters and specialized electric metering equipment.

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of a 4 year Meter Technician Apprenticeship or equivalent training, including advanced math skills such as algebra, geometry and trigonometry, and basic principle knowledge of electrical circuits and applications. Must have basic knowledge of computers on Windows platform, have working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets and proficient with the current meter operating system (Itron and L&G). A valid Colorado driver’s license must be maintained.
