Intermountain Rural Electric Association is currently seeking a team-oriented individual to fill our Senior System Operator position in our Sedalia location.  With over 151,000 members, Intermountain Rural Electric Association is one of the largest member-owned electric utility cooperatives in the United States.

QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or equivalent and at least five years of experience as a System Operator or equivalent are required. Strong knowledge and education in the area of electrical transmission and distribution system operating concepts and practices. Must possess and maintain a current NERC Operator Certification (RC, TO, or BITO).

BASIC DUTIES: Under the supervison of the Transmission Operations Director for takes the lead in Control Center operations and fills in for shift operators when required. Coordinates Transmission or Distribution outages internally and externally. Assists in System Operator training and preparation of the Associations Operational Planning Analysis (OPA).
